Jeffrey W. Weaver

Jeff’s corporate law practice primarily involves general business law, intellectual property and real estate transactions. He regularly assists entrepreneurs with raising private capital, and devotes a significant portion of his practice to assisting franchisees understand their franchise documents (FDD). Recently Jeff has been working with numerous start up breweries around the DC metropolitan area.  He has also been helping clients across the country negotiate and acquire franchises, working with them to create corporate structures to use their IRA and 401(k) savings to fund the purchase of the business while legally avoiding penalties for early distribution and income taxes on those proceeds.

He holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and earned his law degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law. Jeff practiced as a litigator lawyer for two years in Florida courts and then earned an MBA from Emory University, where he graduated at the top of his class and was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma. For over 14 years Jeff has strictly practiced transactional law with a focus on the areas of general corporate, intellectual property and real estate law. He is admitted to practice in Virginia, Florida, New York and New Jersey.
